About
Wayside is the photographic practice of Jade Woods.
The work is rooted in observation—people, places, and the small moments that exist between destinations. Ordinary scenes, chance encounters, and the evidence people leave behind are photographed without much distinction between what is important and what isn't.
Working across digital and film, the photographs are less concerned with documenting a particular place than with paying attention to what happens while passing through one.
Wayside is about looking along the way.
